Yesterday, my wife, daughter, and I attended the March 14th Fireworks Matsuri. This event was for residents of the Okunoto area, which includes Wajima City, Anamizu Town, Noto Town, and Suzu City. My wife and I live in Noto Town, and the center of Wajima City is only a 20-minute drive from our home in Yanagida.
The Fireworks Festival took place in Wajima Marin Town, which is situated near the fishing port of Wajima. The area features several ryokans, including the Wajima Route Inn, which has been closed since the January 1st, 2024 earthquake due to ongoing renovations. Additionally, visitors can find various restaurants and the Wajima Kiriko Matsuri Museum in the vicinity.the Wajima Kiriko Matsuri Museum.
The fireworks display started at 7 PM and lasted for about 20 minutes. It was a delightful beginning to the Oku Noto Matsuri season
